1. Amazon.

Jeff Bezos started Amazon more than 30 years ago in his home garage in Bellevue, Washington. Mr. Bezos started Amazon as an online bookstore. The firm struggled for a whole year to make its first sale. After hearing about the rise of the internet, and the lack of sales tax law, Mr. Bezos decided to quit his job in 1994 and started working on his garage. In 1997, he launched a test site, and from there, the company experienced its breakthrough.

2. Google.

The development of Google was by Larry Page and Serge Brin. The duo wanted to replace the Go-to Search Engine. The two wanted to develop a more straightforward resource, better than the previous Information Finding Technology. After establishing Google, the two decided to sell it, though unsuccessful. They kept on building the platform until it became famous. Today, millions of people rely on Google to get information.

3. Microsoft.

The establishment of Microsoft was by Paul Allen and Bill Gates in 1975. The duo techies started developing programming language software in a small Albuquerque garage. Today, a company that began in a tiny space is now one of the largest multinational tech brand developers. The company currently operates more than 80%of computers globally.

4. WhatsApp.

Jan Koum and Brian Acton founded WhatsApp in January 2009. In his early childhood, Koum spent his free time learning more about computers. At the age of 18, Koum had already developed skills that made him employed by Yahoo as an infrastructure engineer. He worked for the company for ten years. During the 2008 global economic crisis, Koum decided to dedicate his time to work on his side hustle that led to the launching of WhatsApp. Five years later, he sold the app for $19 billion to Facebook after becoming famous.

5. Facebook.

The establishment of Facebook was in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and his college roommates of Harvard University, Dustin Moskovits, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum. Initially, the website was for connecting Harvard University students. It later extended its membership to other colleges around the Boston area. By September 2006, Facebook was accessible to everyone with a valid email address and above 13 years. Today, Facebook is used to connect people globally and has billions of users.
