Earl Simmons, alias DMX or Dan Max X, has died in a New York hospital at 50. His death follows five days after he suffered a heart attack. The celebrity who inspired many fans with his music was on life support. His family acknowledged that he died by their side. The family also said that he is a fighter who wrestled to the end and leaves an iconic legacy. The record-breaking hip-hop performer had various collaborations with his famous counterparts Ja Rule, Jay-Z, and LL Cool J. DMX took his nickname from a drum machine used mainly by rappers. His top-hit songs include “X Gon’ Give It To Ya”, “Who we are”, “How is it goin’ down”, and “Party Up (Up in Here)”, among others. The rapper’s discography includes 23.3 million albums.

Earl was also an actor. He acted on screens and appeared in Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Never Die Alone, Belly, Cradle 2 the Grave, Romeo Must Die, and Exit Wounds. The memorable movies and films are at least eleven. The Celeb was born in 1970 at Mount Vernon, New York. His life was not without hiccups. In 1999, DMX married Tasherra Simmons. Together they had four children, but his marriage hit rock bottom leading to divorce court in 2014. The rapper has publicly fought substance abuse for many years and spent time in rehabs several. Early this week, DMX got a heart attack believed to be a result of a drug overdose. Doctors put him on an intensive care unit at White Plains Hospital in New York, where he died on Friday, 9 April.
