Talk to the Co-Workers About How They Are Feeling
Juniper Park/TWBA has weekly meetings that they call pulse meetings. This is a time for people to discuss what is going on at the company. The insights are used in order to improve the company. This also gives people the chance to praise their co-workers for the good work that they have done. Additionally, it allows people to vent their frustrations.
Talk About Mental Health All of the Time
The CEO also has Thursday chats that they refer to as pirate huddles. People have the opportunity to talk about things such as fear, burnout and monotony. They also talk about the importance of being kind to other people. The company has had 54 of these meetings so far. People do not have to attend these meetings, but they are strongly encouraged to.
The pirate huddles are not the same thing as your standard business meeting. It is about discussing the mental health of the workers. The CEO recommends that other companies do the same. This does not have to take a lot of your time. In fact, it only takes about 30 minutes of your time per week.
Increase Visibility Behind the Screen
Many people spend all of their time working behind a computer. This can make it a lot harder to interact with other people. However, there are ways that you can interact with people better even behind the computer screen. For example, if you do an activity with your family, then you can do it over Zoom and show your coworkers.
Have Teachers
You can have teachers who can educate people about mental health matters via Zoom. You can also have people come and educate people about fitness and nutrition.
