With over 60,000 employees in 2015 alone (and growing), they are one of the largest employers in America. As far as their growth, they have been around since 1998 and continue to grow rapidly. They currently own over 200 subsidiaries that are considered successful in their own right, with products like YouTube (the world’s largest video sharing site) or Android (which runs on 80% of smartphones worldwide).

2) Apple:

Apple is amongst the biggestinformation technology company by revenue . Their products, such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks, are all the most sought-after in their respective categories. Like Google, they also own many subsidiaries that run independently from one another but ultimately fall under the same umbrella (such as Beats Electronics). Because of their lineup, Apple has generated over $200 billion in revenue for 2015 alone.

3) Berkshire Hathaway:

Berkshire Hathaway is a multinational conglomerate holding company run by the world-renowned Warren Buffett. The company has made its CEO and shareholders incredibly wealthy over the years with investments in companies such as Coca-Cola or American Express. While they have diversified interests across various industries, they are most known for their insurance and investments divisions. They have been incredibly successful over the years, with a compounded annual growth rate of 19% since 1965.

4) McDonald’s:

McDonald’s is the world’s largest restaurant chain by revenue, serving over 69 million customers daily in 119 countries. While you might think that their best days are behind them, they still serve as an example to other fast-food chains of how it should be done. They have managed to increase revenues for 50 consecutive years, making it a household name in most developed countries. Their menu has also undergone many changes over the years, offering healthier options for their customers and adapting to changing tastes with items like wraps or salads.
